Above Ground Pool Solar Installation Hardware

Above ground pools have different demands than inground setups, typically shorter plumbing runs, lower flow rates, and more flexible mounting options. That said, the hardware still needs to hold up to sun exposure, temperature swings, and years of daily operation.

Suntrek’s solar panel hardware for above ground pools is built for these conditions:

  • Mounting Hardware Roof and ground rack systems built from corrosion-resistant materials. Roof mounts include brackets and straps designed for asphalt shingle, metal, and tile surfaces, plus weatherproof flashing to prevent leaks at penetration points. Ground racks use aluminum frames with adjustable angles to optimize sun exposure throughout the season.
  • Plumbing Fittings Solar connections and fittings for above ground pools need to handle outdoor exposure without degrading. We stock UV-resistant hoses, PVC Schedule 40 fittings, adapters, unions, and connectors. Serviceable unions allow component replacement without cutting into your plumbing.
  • Flow Control & Automation Diverter valves route water to collectors when heating is beneficial and bypass them when it’s not. Temperature sensors monitor collector and pool temperatures, feeding data to controllers that automate the process. Our automation components integrate with Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy systems.
  • Replacement Collectors If a panel is damaged or you want more heating capacity, we stock replacement collectors for both product lines. Custom collectors can be manufactured to your exact length specifications (up to 50 feet). ST panels are available in three sizes: ST-32, ST-40, and ST-48.

How do I know which parts I need?

Yes. Both product lines are modular. Additional collectors and hardware can be added to your existing array without replacing what’s already installed. Optimal sizing is 50–100% of your pool’s surface area in collector coverage, depending on your climate and heating goals.

Yes. Adding automated valves, temperature sensors, and controllers to a manual system typically requires just valve replacement and sensor installation, most conversions take 2–4 hours.

Yes. We maintain inventory for systems installed over the past 20+ years. For very old components, we can recommend modern equivalents that integrate with legacy installations.
